HomeMy WebLinkAbout2802 21 22 231 24 25 II 1 2 3 I ORDINANCE NOD ..1.J't7"Z, I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING ORDINANCE I NO. 821 CONCERNING THE GRANTING AND CONTROL OF PERMITS FOR THE PlACIN9J_ ERECTINGl MAINTAINING AND REMOVAL OF BANNERS EXTENDING OVER Al'l:r: HIGHWAY vR PORTION THEREOF. 4 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO 5 DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 8 SECTION ONE: Ordinance No. 821 Chapter Twenty-Four is 71 hereby amended by adding thereto Section 2410 to read as follows: 8 "SECTION 2410: 9 (a) An applicant for a banner permit shall complete and file with the Mayor and Common Council an application in duplicate which shall contain the following: 1. The location, dimensions, and purpose of the 10 11 12, I' 131 I 1411 I 15' 161 banner; 2. A facsimilie of the proposed banner, including any legend or written matter; 3. The proposed date and time of day when said banner will be installed, which must be at least ten days after the date of the application; 4. The proposed date and time of day when said 17 18 19 i 20 banner will be removed; 5. Such other information as the Mayor and Common Council may require. (b) Permits issued under this Section shall be granted only to civic organizations or public bodies for the purpose of bringing to the attention of the public events which are of a 28 I general public interest. No permit shall be issued to further 27 political or religious purposes, or purposes involving private 28' financial gain. 29 (c) No permit shall be granted for a period of more than 30 seven (7) days unless a longer period is specifically granted. 31 (d) Each applicant shall make a deposit of money with the 32 City, which shall be computed on the basis of twenty dollars .
