AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITH- IN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, AND TO PAY THE BONDED AND OTHER INDEBTED- NESS OF SAID CITY. THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION ONE: The amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino, as revenue to carryon the various departments of said City for the current year beginning July 1st, 1968 and ending June 30th, 1969, and to pay the bonded indebtedness and other indebtedness of said City is hereby determined and fixed at the aggregate sum of $3,110,367 apportioned among the various funds and departments of said City as follows, to wit: (1 ) To the General Fund, the sum of $152,398 (2) To the Street Fund, the sum of $933,650 (3) To the Library Fund, the sum of $334, 514 (4) To the Park Improvement Fund, the sum of $646,778 (5) To the Employees I Retirement Fund the sum of $938,147 (6) To the Library Bond Fund, the sum of $ 30,413 (7) To the Fire System Bond, 1962 Interest and Re demption Fund, the sum of $ 74,408 SECTION TWO: It is hereby found and declared that this is an Ordinance for the immediate preseevation of the public peace, health and safety of said City and the inhabitants thereof, and that this is an emergency measure, it being an Ordinance provided by and adopted pursuant to Section 131 of the Charter of said City, and by an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, Statutes 1913 and subsequent amendments and Government Code Title 5, Division 1, Chapter 2, Article 2, by the provisions of which ~ 2 :3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 Act this Ordinance must take effect before the first day of September, 1968 in order to levy any valid tax for municipal purposes, without which Ordinance and tax there will be insufficient revenues or funds on hand to defray the expense of said City. SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately after its passage and approval.
