2 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ABANDONMENT OF ICE BOXES AND REFRIGERA-
TORS ACCESSIBLE TO CHILIREN.

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino do
ordain as follows:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corpora-
tion to leave outside of any building or dwelling in a place accessible to
children any abandoned, unattended or discarded ice box, refrigerator or any
other container of any kind which has an air-tight. door or lid, or a door or
lid equipped with a lock which may not be released for opening from the inside
of said ice box, refrigerator or container.
Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or Ilorpora-
tion to leave outside of any building or dwelling in a place accessible to
children any abandoned, unattended or discarded ice box, refrigerator or any
other container of any kind which has any door or lid equipped with an air-
tight l!nap-lock or other similar closing device thereon without first removing
such snap-lock or device, or door or lid from said ice box, refrigerator or
container.
Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be fined not exceeding $$00.00 dollars or by imprison-
ment for not in excess of six months. Each day such violation is committed or
permitted to continue, shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punish-
able as such hereunder.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was duly adopted by
