Section 24 of Ordinance No. 1991 is hereby amended to 6 read as follows: Section 24.1. No building or structure shall be moved from one lot or parcel to another lot or parcel in the City vlithout first filing with the Commission an application for such moving, and obtaining a permit therefrom to allow such moving to be done. Section 24.2. Any person, firm or corporation desiring to move any wilding or structure from one lot or parcel to another lot or parcel in the City of San Bernardino shall file an application with the Commission, which application shall set forth the following information: ~ (1) Location and address of the old and proposed new site (2) Plot plan Jf the new site, setting forth the size and shape of the adjacent lots or parcels, including a description of struc- tures and improvements thereon. (3) Plans and specifications setting forth proposed im- prova~ents and remodeling of such building or structure at the new site, in- cluding landscaping. Section 24.3. Said application shall be accompanied by a fee of ,20.00 $~, which fee shall be exclusive of any other fees required by other ordinances pertaining to such moving. Section 24.4. Upon the filing of said application and payment of filing fee, said application shall be referred to the Chief Building Inspector of the City, who shall within five (5) days make an inspection of the build- ing or structure to be moved, and report to the Planning Commission the type of construction, age and present condition of such building or structure. Section 24.5. Upon receipt of said application, the Planning Director shall forthwith by letter or other written means report to the -1- .. .. 1 City Councilman of the ,'lard wherein the new site is located, the substance 2 of the applical:ionfor such moving. 3 Section 24.6. After the receipt by the Planning Commission of the 4. report of the Chief Building Inspector, the Planning Commission shall hold 5 a hearing on such application, giving such notice as it deems sufficient to 6 inform all persons interested of the fact of said application, and date and 7 place of hearing. At the time of hearing, the Planning Commission shall hear 8 all persons who may appear to support or protest the granting of the applica- 9 tion. After the hearing the Commission shall make its recommendation to the 10 City Council for its approval, rejection or modification. In making its re- 11 commendation to the C01IDcil, the Commission shall report all such changes, 12 repairs or modifications of the building or structure to be moved, which in 13 its judgment are necessary and proper to comply with the provisions of this 14 ordinance and other la~lS and ordinances of the City. 15 Section 24.7. The rem mmendation of the Planning Commission shall 16 be acted upon by the City Council at its next regular meeting. 17 Section 24.8. In making its recollDllendation to the Council, the 18 Commission shall find, in the event it approves the moving of said building 19 or structure, that such moving shall have no detrimental effect on the living 20 environment and property values in the area into which the building or struc- 21 ture is to be moved. 22 Section 24.9. It shall be a condition of every moving permit issued 23 hereunder, that the applicant, upon said building or structure being moved 24 off of a lot, shall clear the site from which said building or structure is 25 moved within a period of thirty (30) days after removal of said building or 26 structure of all rock, brick, foundation material, and waste and debris of 27 all kinds, including dead or uncared for trees and vegetation, and shall also 28 fill up any holes or excavations, so that the premises after the moving shall 29 be left in a clean, sightly and safe condition; and in the event the applicant 30 does not clean up said site as herein prescribed within said period of time, 31 the City may itself clean up the site or cause the same to be done by other 32 persons, in which event the reasonable cost thereof shall be a charge against -2- .. - .. 1 2 3 the applicant and his surety. Section 24.10. In the event the City Council acts favorably on said application, and allows said building or structure to be moved, it shall 4 order a buildLg permit issued by the Chief Building Inspector, covering the 5 same, on such terms and conditions as the City Council may prescribe; pro- 6 vided, however, that before such permit is issued, there shall be deposited 7 by the applicant ,'rith the Chief Building Inspector a surety bond made payable 8 9 10 11 to the City of San Bernardino in an amount equal to the reasonable and esti- mated cost of the repairs or additions required to be made to the building /I'ICI..",lilNf cosr or c/t:!,</""..." Ordinance Nos. 1750 and 1855 are hereby repealed.
