'- .' 1 CIl.DINANCE NO. ~ 0 / t.J. 2 AN ORDINANCE PERTAnlING TO DEMOLITION AND MOVING OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES. 3 4 5 The ~or and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino do ordain as follows: Section 1. Any person, firm or corporation desiring to demolish, 6 dismantle or tear down any house, building of structure within the City of San Bernardino, or move the same outside the City limits, shall, before proceeding with such work, file an application with the Chief Building Inspector for a permit to do BO. TlI.e Chief Building Inspector, if he finds that the granting of such permit is not contrary to public health, safety and welfare, shall issue such permit; provided, however, that as a condition to the issuance of such permit the applicant shall pay to the Chief D.d1ding Inspector the SUJIl of $1.00, and deposit with him a surety bond in the amount of .1,000.00 to insure the faithful performance by the applicant of the following conditions on which moving or that upon the/demolition, dillDl&ntling or tear- such permit is granted, namely: ing down of such house, \::uilding or other strucutre, the lot, parcel or site shall be cleared of all debris, briCk, rock, cement work, foundations, wseds, brush, dead or uncared for trees and vegetation so that the premises are left in a clean and safe condition. Any permit issued under this section shall be moving or .further conditioned on completion of the work Of/demolition, dismantling, tear- ing down and cleaning of site within a period of ninety days from date thereof, but; which period ma;y be extended by the Chief Building Inspector upon good cause shown, for such additional period as may be reasonably required to carry out the purposes of the permit. Section 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a miedemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by fine not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars (.500.00) or lrJ imprisonment for a term not exceeding six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.. Seotion 3. Ordinance No. 2004 is hereby repealed.
