AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF 2 SAN BER}!ARDINO AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, AIm TO PAY THE BmTDED A}m OTHER 3 INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY. 4 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO 5 DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 6 SECTION ONE: That the emount of money necessary to be 7 raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate 8 limits of the City of San Bernardino, as a revenue to carryon 9 the various departments of said City for the current year, 10' beginning July 1st, 1954, and ending June 30th, 1955, and to p~y 11 the bonded indebtedness and other indebtedness of said City, is 12 hereby determined and fixed at the aggregate sum of $1'.146.067.89 13 apportioned among the various funds and departments of said City as follows, to-wit: 14 15 16 i' 17 : 18 ; 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 ,I Ii Ii (1) To the General Fund, th", sum of (2) To the Street Fund, the sum of (3) To the Library Fund, the sum of (4 ) To the Par~ Improvement Fund, the S'.Ul' of $ 1,?1.~9~.69 $ Lt02.481~10 $ 121.6:),.8.86 $ 276,6'n ~90 of $ 160.178.03 $ 6 . 640.72 $ 25;018.39 (5) To the Employees' Retirement Fund, the sum (6) To the Public Hall Bond Fund, the sum of (7) To the Outfa11 Sewer Bond Fund, the sum of SECTION TWO: It is hereby found and declared that this is an Ordinance for the immediate preservation of the public peace, . health and safety of said City and the inhabitants thereof, and that this is an emergency measure, it beine an Ordinance provided by and adopted pursuant to Section 131 of the Charter of said City, and by an act of the Legislature of the State of California, approved March 27th, 1895, and referred to in said Section by its title, by the provisions of which Act this Ordinance must take effect before the third Monday in August, 1954, in order to levy any valid tax for municipal purposes, without which Ordinance and . ~ . . 1 tax there will be insufficient rev:mues or funds on hand to defray 2 the expenses of said City. 3 SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be published for 4 three consecutive days in the San Bernardino Evening Telegram, 5 a daily newspaper hereby designated for that purpose, and shall 6 take effect immediately after its passage and approval. 7 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the whole number of members of 8 the Common Council of the City of San Bernardino is five, and 9 that the foregoing Ordinance was unanimously adopted at a Regular 10 meeting of the Mayor and Common Council of said City held on the 11 /?o-q. d,y of :fZ,+,.d;-. 1954. by tho rol1~1ng .ot" to-"it, 12 AYES: ~ 13 NOES: ~/ ABSENT: " 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 (JUC~ I CITY CLE K day of z;:;' /74 Ordinance is hereby approved this , 1954. ......
