AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CI'l'Y OF SAN
BERNARDlNO APPROVING .THE ANNEtATION DIS'mICT NO. 73.
WHEREAS, heretO.fore a petition was filed with the COllllllOn Council
of the City of San Bernardino requesting that certain uninhabited territory
contiguous to said City be annexed to the City of San Bernardino amI wi'lich
said petition described said territory and the boundarie$ thereof proposed
to be annexed to the City; and
W1EREAS, said petition was filed by the owners of not less than
one-fourth. of the area of land in such territory. and representing not less
than one-fourth of the assessed value of such territory according to the last
preceding equali:iied assessment roll of the County of San Bernardino, in 1lIb1oh
said Ceunty the City of San Bernardino is situated; and
WHEnEAS, the said petition requested the said territory to be
annexed to ani inoluded in the said municipal corporation, in accordance with
the provisions of the Covernmeht Cocj.e, Section 35300, et seq., and
WHEREAS, all and each of the owners. of all of the aforesaid real
property and of each and every parcel contained therein have consented in
writing and filed with the City Clerk of the City of San Bernardino, who acts
as Clerk for said Conunon Council, their consent and agreement that all of the
property included in the aforesaid territory shall be taxed equally with the
other property within the said City to pay the banded indebtedness and any and
all general indebtedness and liability of the City of San Bernardino contracte
prior to or following or outstanding at the time the aforesaid petition of the
annexation was filed and subsequent thereto, as provided in said Government.

WHmEAS, on the 1st day of NoVe$ber~ .1954, a Resolution was adopted
by the aforesaid Common Council of the City df.San Bernardino, California,
proposing the annexation d: the aforesaid uninhabited territory to be general
known as the ANNEXATION .-DISTRICT NO. 7J to the City of San Bernardino, a.rd
that said ResolutiOn provided therein that the proposed annexation should be

generally ImOlll1 and identified as the ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 73; and
WHERH:AS,aaid Resolution set forth therein that all the property
included in the aforesaid territory should be taxed equally wi th the other
property within the said City to pay the bonded indebtedness and any and all
general indebtedness and liability oitha Cit,y of San Bernardino, contracted
prior to or existing or outstanding &.t the time of the aforesaid proposed
annexation of the aforesaid property, as provided in the hereinbefore men-
tioned Government Code; and
\'lHERE.A.S, the said Resolution did fix, deter:nine and declare that
a hearing be held on the 6th day of December, 1954, at the hour of. 7:30
o'clock P. H., in the Cou!lcil.Chambers of the City Hall, in the City of San
Bernardino, and the same was the cle.y, hour and place designated where any

protest with the City of San Bernardino ccgainst such annexation; and.
..JHEREAS, no objection or pziotests of any kind or nature whatsoever
were made or filed, either ,,-ri tten or oral, wi th the said City of San Ber-
nardino and no protests or objections of any nature whatsoever were made,
either written or oral, at the meeting of the COllllllon Council on the 6th day of
December, 1954, as mentioned hereinbefore, at which said meeting the said
COm~on Council publicly announced that any person, firm or corporation desiring
to protest or object to said annexation might do so at said meeting; and
.mmEAS, it appears to the Common Council of the City of San Ber-
nardino that the aforesaid annexation proceedings have been completed and
everything performed at this time, in accordance with said Government Code,
and mentioned hereinbefore, and any and all other ~ws in any way connected
with the sa.id annexation procedure, havingbeE)Il complied with; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of. San Bernardino desire

SECTION ONE: That said territory as herein described as 'Annex'-
5 ation District No. 73 is hereb,y annexed and incorporate~ in and made a part
6 of the City of San Bernardino.
SECTION TWO: The Territory herein referred to as being annexed
to the City of San Bernardino is particularly described as follows, to ...'1t:
BEGINNTI{G at a point in the present corporate limits of
the City of San Bernardino, said point being the point
of intersection of the West line of Government. IDt 2,
Sectiori 13, Township 1 North, Range 4 West, San Bernardino
Meridian and the Northerly line of the Muscupiabe Rancho,
as said line is shown on the official United States Town-
ship plat of Township 1 North, Range 4 West, San Bernardino
Meridian, as surveyed by George H. Perrin and approved
June 24, 1898; thence Northwesterly along said Rancho line
to Station M-31, as shown on said Township plat; thence
Northerly along the West line of Tract No. 3642, as per
plat recorded in Book 52 of Maps, at ,\lages 27 ani 28, re-.
cQrds of the County Recorder of San Bernardino County,
and the Northerly prolongation. of the West line of said
Tract No, 3642, to the westerly prolongation .of the North
line of Annexation District' No. 60 of tht;l City of San
Bernardino; thence Easterly along the WesterJy prolonga-
tion of the North line of said Annexation to a point on
the West line of the Northeat one-quarter (1/4) of the
Southwest one-quarter (1/4) of said Section 13, said point
being on the present' corporate limits of the City of San
Bernardino; thenceSoutherJy along the West line of the
Northeast one-quarter (1./4) of the Southwest one-quart.er (1/4)
of said Section 13, and the West line of said Government Lot 2,
being along the present corporate limits of the City of
San Bernardino, to the point of beginning,
SECTION THREE/: That the above descri~ed property shall be subject

the San Bernardino Evening Telegram, a daily newspaper designated for that
purpose.
