E, F, AND G. 4 5 6 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: I , SECTION ONE: That Ordinance No. 1652, Article IV, Sec- 7 tion 11, of the City of San Bernardino is hereby amended by ad- 8 ding thereto Sub-Sections D. E. F. and G as follows: 9 ARTICLE IV 10 Stoppin~, Standing, and Parking 11 SECTION ELEVEN: (d) USE OF STREETS FOR STORAGE OF VEHI- 12 CLES - GENERALLY - WHEN PROHIBITED. It shall be unlawful for any 13 person who owns or has possession, oustody or oontrol of any ve- 14 hicle to park suoh vehicle upon any street or alley for more than 15. 120 hours in the aggregate during any period of 121 hours. ! 16 i (e) Polioe offioers are hereby authorized to remove from 17 streets or highways within the City of San Bernardino to the near- 18 i est garage or other plaoe of safety, or to a garage or other plaoe . 19: of safety designated or maintained by the Police Department, any 20 vehiole whioh has been parked or left standing on suoh street or 21: highway for 120 or more oonseoutive hours. 22. (f) Whenever a police offioer removes a vehiole from a 23: street or highway as authorized in this seotion and the offioer 24 knows or is able to asoertain from the registration records in 25 the vehiole or from the registration reoords of the California 26; Department of Motor Vehioles the name and address of the owner 27: thereof, suoh police offioer shall immediately give or cause to I 28 be given notice in writing to suoh owner of the faot of such re- I 29 moval, the grounds thereof and of the plaoe to whioh suoh vehiole I 30! has been removed. In the event any suoh vehiole is stored in a 31: public garage, a oopy of such notice shall be given to the pro- , , 32: prietor of suoh garage. -1- /.;r r"" "'" 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 . . ..., I.: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 (g) Whenever a police orricer removing a vehicle rram a street or highway under this section does not know and is not able to ascertain the name or the owner or ror any other reason is unable to give the notice to the owner as hereinberore pro- vided and in the event the vehicle is not returned to the owner within a period or 120 hours, then and in that event the police officer shall immediately send or cause to be sent written report of such removal by mail to the Department of Motor Vehioles at Sacramento and shall file a oopy of suoh notice with the pro- prietor of any public g~age in which the vehicle may be stored. Such repovif.,shall be made on a form furnished by such department and shall inolude a complete desoription or the vehicle, the date, time and place from which removed, the grounds for such removal and the name of the garage or place where the vehicle is stored.
