WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of
6 i the State. of California, known as the "Annexation .Act of 1913," and pursuant
7 i to Ordinance No. 2095, adopted by the Mayor and COMBOD CouDcil of the City of

8: San Bernardino OD the 20th day of February, 1956, a special election was held
91 on the 10th day of April, 1956, in that certain inhabited territory contiguous

to the City of San Bernardino designated as "Annexation District No. 88," and
which is hereinafter more particularly described; and

WHEREAS, at said special election the following question was submitted:
to the qualified electors residing in said territory:

AT THE DATE OF TIlE FILING OF TIlE PErITION FOR ANNEXATION?
WHEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the returns of the votes
cast at said special election that a majority of all votes cast in said terri-
tory OD the question of said annexation and the assumption of said indebtedaess
favor annexation upoa the terms contaiaed in the question submitted; and
IBEREAS, it appears that said special election and all proceediDgs
relating thereto have been conducted strictly in accordance with law;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
Bernardino do ordain as follows:
SECIION ONE: That the annexation of that certain inhabited terri-
tory contiguous to the City of San Bernardino desigaated as "Anaexation Dis-
trict No. 68" be and the same is hereby approved upon the terms contained in
the aforesaid question which was submitted at the special election held on the
10th day of April, 1956. Said territory is described as follows:

All of that certain real property located in the County of San Bernar- i
dino, State of California, more particularly described as follows:
All that portion of Block 11 of the Orange Grove Tract, as per plat
recorded in Book 11 of Maps at page 14, Records of the County Recorder'
of San Bernardino County, and all that portion of Lot 6, Block 66,
Rancho San Bernardino, as per plat recorded in Book 1 of Maps nt page
2, Records of the County Recorder of San Bernardino County, described
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the present corporate limits of the City of
San Bernardino, said point being on the North line of Highland Avenue ,
62.50 feet wide, as delineated on said map of the Rancho San Bernar- .
dino, and said point being the Southeast corner of Perris Hill
Heights, Tract No. 1911, as per plat recorded in Book 28 of Maps at
page 61, Records of.tbe County Recorder of San Bernardino County;
thence Northerly along the East line of said Tract No. 1911, being
along the present corporate lillits of said City, to the SOlltb line I
of Twenty-seventh Street, 50 feet wide, as deticated by Tract No. 3931'
as per plat recorded in Book 50 of aapsat pages 12 and 13, Records .

the South line of said Twenty-seventh Street, being along the pre- '
sent corporate lillits of said City, 9.96 feet, more or less, to tbe
Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 12. of said Orange Grove Tract;
tbence Soutberly alOftg the West line of said Lot 1, Block 12, being
along tbe present corporate limits of said City, to tbe Southwest
corner of said Lot 1, Block 12; thence Easterly along the south line
of said Lot 1, Block 12. being along the present corporate limits of
said City, to the Northeast corner of Tract No. 2536 as per plat re-
corded in Book 36 of Maps at page 35, Records of the County Recorder
of San Bernardino County; thence Southerly along tbe East line of
said Tract No. 2536. being along the present corporate li.its of said
City, 300.00 feet, to the Northeast corner of Lot 15 of .aid Tract
No. 2536; tbence Easterly and parallel to the North line of said
Highland Avenue, being along the present corporate li.its of said
City, 6.00 feetr thence Southerly and parallel to the East line of
said Tract No. 2536, being along the present corporate limits of
.aid City. 160.00 feet; thence We.terly and parallel to tbe North
line of said Highland Aveaue, being along the present corporate
liaits of said City, 6.00 feet, to the Southeast coraer of Lot 16 of

SECTiON TID: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
ordinance and cause the same to be published three conseet'te days in the San

SECTION THREE: The property herein annexed is declared to be a
32' part of Ward No.4, and the boundaries of said Ward 4 are bereby altered to
include .aid annexation territory, with the area south of Tract No. 4160 to
