SECTION O}lli: That the amount of money necessary to be
7 raised by taxation upon the,taxable property within the corporate
8 limits of the City of San Bernardino, as a revenue to carryon
9 the various departmElnt/l of sai4 Ci ty for the curren t year,
10 beginning July 1st, 1957 andendin;; June 30th, 1958, and to pay
11 the bonded indebtedness andotheX' indebtedness of said City, is
12 hereby determined and fixed at the aggregate sum of$ 1.275.365.19
13 apportioned among the various funds and departments of said City
14 as follows,. to-wit:

(1) To the General Fund, the sum of $ None
(2) To the Street Fund, the sum of $ 509.586.26
(3) To the Library Fund, the sum of l'? 154:878.02
(4 ) To the Park Improvement Fund, the sum of $ 347~044.86
(5) To the Employees' Retirement FUnd, the sum of $ 234'.526.08
(6) To the Public Hall Bond Fund, the sum of $ 6~184.52
(7 ) To the Outfall Sewer Bond Fund, the sum of $ 23.145..45
SECTION TlVO: It is hereby found and declared that this
is an ordinance for the immediate preservation of the public pea.ce,
health and safety of said City and the inhabitants thereof, and
that this is an emergency measure, itbeing an Ordinance provided
by and adopted pursuant to Section 131 of the Charter of said
City, and by an act of the Legislature of the State of California,
approved March 27th, 1895, and referred to in said Section by its
title, by the provisions of which Act this Ordinance mUst take
effect before the third Monday in August, 1957, in order to levy
any valid tax for municipal purposes, without which Ordinance and
tax there will be insufficient revenues or funds on hand to defray

SECTION ~IREE: This Ordinance shall be published for
three consecutive days in the San 3ernardino Evening Telegram,
a daily newspaper hereby designated for that purpose, and shall

take effect immediately after its passage and approval.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the whole number of members of
the Common Council of the City of San Bernardino isfive# and
