AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE
RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SAID
CITY FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, AND TO PAY THE BONDED AND OTHER INDEBTED~
NESS OF SAID CITY.
THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: Tbat tbe amount of money necessary to be raised
by taxation upon tbe taxable property witbin tbe, corporate limits
of tbe City of San Bernardino, as a revenue tocllTry on the various
departments of said City for tbe curr~nt year beginning July 1st,
1956 and ending June 30tb, 1959, and to pay tbe ~onded indebtedness
and other indebtedness of sai~ City is her~by determined and fixed
at the aggregate sum of $1,456,091.56 apportioned amon;g.'the various
funds and departments of said City as follows, to-wi t :
(1) To the General Fund, the sum of $ None
( 2) To the Street Fund, the sum of $ 660,385.93
( 3) To the Library Fund, the sum of $ 142,926.04
(4) To the Park Improvement Fund, the sum 0 f $ 334,676..93
(5) To the Employees' Ret! rement Fund, the sum of$ 243,457.79
(6) To the Public Hall Bond Fund, tbe snm of $ 5, 572~ 11
(7) To the Library Bond Fund, the sum of $ 49,072.16
SECTION TWO: It is hereby found and declared that this is
23 an ordinance for the immediate preservation of the public p~ace,
24 health and safety of said City and the inhabitants thereof, and
25 that this is an emergency measure, it being an Ordinance provided
26 by and adopted pursuant to Section 131 o~ the Charter of said Cit~.
27 and by an act of the Legislature of the State of California, ap-
28 proved Mareh 27th, 1895, and ref~rred to in said Section by its
29 title, by tbe provisio~s of wbicb Act this Ordinance mU$t take ef-

SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be published for three
consecutive days in the San Bernardino Evening Telegram, a daily
newspaper hereby designated for that purpose, and shall take effect
immediately after its passage an~ approval.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that tbe whole number of members of the
Common Council of tbe City .f S~n Bernardino is five, and that the
foregoing Ordinance was unanimously adopted at a A:6"fu4>>
meeting of tbe Mayor and Comllon Council otlsai~ City
