I 3 4 WHEREAS, heretofore proceedings were initiated by the Common Council 5 of the City of San Bernardino, on its own motion, to annex to the City of 6 San Bernardino certain contiguous uninhabited territory hereinafter described; 7 and 8 WHEREAS, on the 30th day of January, 1961, a resolution was adopted 9 by the aforesaid Common Council of the City of San Bernardino, California, de- 10 elating that proceedings had been initiated by said Council and proposing the II annexation for the reasons therein stated of the aforementioned uninhabited 12 territory to be generally known 'as Annexation District No. 132 to the City of 13 San Berna.;rdino, and that said resoJl1tion provided that the prQPosed annexation 14 should be generally known'and identified as Annexation District No. 132; and 15 WHEREAS, said resolution set forth th~rein that all the property 16 included in the aforesaid territQrr should be taxed equally with the other 17 property within the said City to pay t,he bonded' indebtedness and any and all 18 general indebtedness and liability of the,City of San Bernardino contracted 19 prior to or exist+ng q;r outstandipg at the ti~e of the aforesaid proposed annexa- tion of the aforesaid p;roperty as provided in the hereinbefore mentioned 20 I 21 Government Code; and 22 WHEREAS, said resolution did fix, determine and declare that a 23 hearing be held on the 6th day of March, 1961, at the hour of 9:30o'clock A.M. 24 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall in the City of San llernardino, and the 25 , same was the day, hour and place designated where any person owning real estate 26 within such territory so proposed to be annexed and having any objections to 27 the proposed annexation might object before the Common Council and show cause 28 why such territory should not be annexed; andfllrthermore, the said resolution 29 provided that at any time not later than the said hour set, as mentioned herein- 30 before for the said hearing, any owner of property within the said territory 31 , proposed ,to be annexed might file written protest with the City of San Bernardino 32 against such annexation; and ~ ~ . . 1 WHEREAS, said resol~tion was amended to change the hearing date; to wit: 2 From the 6th day of March, 1961 tp the, 10th day of April, 1961. 3 WHEREAS, no written,protest of any kind or nature whatsoever were 4 filed with the City Clerk of the City of San,.Bernardino prior to 9130 0' clock 5 A.M. on the 10th day of April, 1961j and 6 ' WHEREAS, it appears to 'the Common Council of the City of San Bernardino 7: that the aforesaid annexatioQ proceedings. have been completed and 'every thing , 8 i performed at this time in accordance with said Government Code, and laentioned 9' hereinbefQre, an<iany snd sl1.othe'!:,' laWS iti any way cmmected with the Said 10 1 111 annexation prQCedure having been complied with; and 12 : I 13 I ! 14 : WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of San Bernardine deSire to approve at this time the annexation of the aforesaid territory.
