AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE
RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF
SAID CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, AND TO PAY THE
BONnED ANn OTHER INDEBTEDNESS TO SAln CITY, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE
NO. 2~79.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION ONE: That the amount of money necessary to be raised
9 by taxation upon the taxable prorerty within the corporate limits
10 of the City of San Bernardino. as a revenue to carryon the various
11 departments of said City for the current year beginning July 1st.
12 l~bl and ending June 30th. 1962, and to pay the bonded indebtedness
13 Rno other indebtedness of said City is hereby determined and fixed
W at the aggregate sum of $1,986,323.99 apportioned among the various

f'lnds and departments of saio City " s follows; to-wit:
0) To the General Fund. the sum of $ 55.113.02
(2) To the Street Fund, the sum of $705,806.02
(3) To the Library Fund. the sum (If $227.7J7.49
(4) To the Park Improvf!ment Fund. the
sum of $437,777.04
(5) To the Employees' Retirement Fund.
the sum of $463.638.31
(6) To the Public Hrll Rontl Fund. the
sum of $ NflNr;
(7) To the Library Rond Fund, the S'Jm
of $ 36,229.91

SECTION TWO: It is hereby found pnd declared that t~is is

an Ordinance for the immediate preservation of the public peace.

health and safety of said City and the inhahitants thereof, and

that this is an emergency measure, it being an Ordinance provided
29
by and adopted pursuant to Section 131 of the Charter of said City,
30
and by an act of the legislature of the ~t8te of California, Sta-

tutes 1913 and subsequent amendr.ent. by the provisions of which

Act this Ordinance must take effect before the first day of Septem-
1 ber~ 1901~ in order to leyy ani yalid tax for municipal purposes.

SECTION THREE: Ordinance No. 2379 is hereby repealed.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be published for three
6 consecutive days in the San Bernardino EyeniDg Telegram. a daily
7 newspaper hereby designated for that purpose. and shall take effect
8 immediately after its passage and approyal.
9 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the whole nu.ber of members of the
10 Common Council of the City of San Bernardino is five. and that the
11
foregoing Ordinance was unanimOUSly adopted at a ~~f~A/
