2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2027 ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE
3 OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO PRO-
VIDING FOR FILING OF OFFICIAL BONDS AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT
4 THEREOF, PROVIDING FOR A BLANKET POSITION BOND FOR CITY EMPLOYEES".
5 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
6 DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION ONE: That sain Ordinance No. 2027. Section Two shall
8 be and is hereby amended to read as follows:

"Section Two" On all employees of the City of San Bernar-
10 dino. except those in the Municipal Water Department, a blanket
11 position bond shall be provided, indemnifying the said City against
12 any and all fraudulent or dishonest acts, failure of performance of
13 official duties, including false arrest by Police Department 811lP-
14 loyees. failure to account properly for any and all moneys or pro-
15 perty receiven by virtue of any position or employment, of or by

M any employee, acting alone or in collusion with others, said bond
17 to comply with the provi sions of all other Ordinances of the City
18 applicable thereto, and to be in the fOllowing amounts for the emp-
W loyment indicated: Chief of Police. $5,000.00; Chief Deputy City
~ Treasurer. $25,000.00; Deputy City Treasurer, $10,000.00; Senior
21 Cashier in the Treasurer's Office, $10,000.00; Intermediate Cashier
22 in the Treasurer's Office, $10,000.00; Senior Cashier - City Hall,
23 $5,000.00; Administrative Officer, $lO,OOO.OOt Finance Officer,
~ $10,000.00; Purchasing Agent, $10,000.00; all others. $2.500.00
25 each. The word "employee" or "employees" as usen in this Ordinance
26 shall mean and include those officers, employees and other sub-
n ordinates of the said City who are not otherwise required by Ordin-
28 ance to furnish an individual bond to qualify for office or employ-
29 ment.

SECTION TWO: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
31 this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the San
32 Rernardino Evening Telegram, a daily newspaper hereby designated
1 for that purpose.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was duly

adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernar-
