2 I AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE
Ii RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF
3 I'i SAN BERNARDINO AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF
1:1: SAID CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE CURRENT YEAR. AND TO PAY THE
4 BONDED AND OTHER INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY.
5[ THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CI'l'Y OF SAN BERNARDINO
6 I DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION ONE: That the amount of money necessary to be
8 raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate
9 limits of the City of San Bernardino, as a revenue to carryon the
10 various departments of said City for the current year beginning
11 " July 1st, 1962, and ending June 30th, 1963. and to pay the bonded
12 indebtedness and other indebtedness of said City is hereby deter-
13 mined and fixed at the aggregate sum of $ 2.332.204.94

15 follows, to-wi t:

SECTION TWO:
It is hereby found and declared that this is

an Ordinance for the immediate preservation of the Public peace,
health and safety of said City and the inhabitants thereof. and
that this is an emergency measure, it being an Ordinance provided
by and adopted pursuant to Section 131 of the Charter of said City,
and by an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, Sta-
tutes 1913 and subsequent amendment, by the provisions of which

1 liAct this Ordinance must take ef"fect before the first day of
2 September 1962, in order to levy any valid tax f"or municipal pur-
3 jposes, without which Ordinance and tax there will be insufficient
4 i:revenues or f"unds on hand to def"ray the expense of" said City.
5 SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be published for three I
6 oonsecutive days in the San Bernardino Evening Telegram, a daily I
7 newspaper hereby designated for that purpose, and shall take effect
8 immediately after its passage and approval.
