2 AN O6DINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE
BAISED BY TAXATION UPOIV THE TAXABLE PBOPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF

SAID CITY OF SAN BERNA8DIN0 FOR THE CQQEBdT YEAR, AND TO PAY THE
q~ BONDED AND OTHEH INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY,
5 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
6 DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
7 SECTION ONE: That the amount of money necessary to be raised
g by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits
g of the City of Saa Bernardino, as a revenue to carry on the various
10 departments of said City for the current year beginning July lst,
11 1963 and ending June 30th, 1964, and to pay the bonded indebtedness
lz and other indebtedness of said City is hereby determined and fixed
13 at the aggregate sum of $ 2,455,141069 apportioned among the
lA various funds and departments of said City as follows, to-wit:
15 (1) To the General Fund, the sum of $_ 241.936_04
16 (2) To the Street Fund, the sum of $ 811,589,43
17 (3) To the Library Fund, the sum of $ 265.856,55
18 (4) To the Park Improve~aent Fund, the I
sum of $ 540,791.89

(5) To the Eroployeest Retirement F'und,

21 (6) To the Public Hall Bond Fund, the

26 SECTION TWO: It is hereby found and declared that this is
27 an Ordinanee for the immediate preservation of the public peaCe,
28 health and safety of said City and the inhabitants thereo f~ and
29 that this is an e~ergency measure, it being an Ordinance provided
30 by and adopted pursuant to Sectios 131 of the Charter of said
31 City, and by an Act of the Legislature of the State of Ca lifornia,
3z Statutes 1913 and subsequent aroendment, by the ,provisions of which

Act this Ordinance must take effect before the first day of
Septe~ber, 1963 in order to levy any valid tax for municipal pur-
poses, without which Ordinanee and tax there will be insufficient
revenues or funds on hand to defray the expense of said City,
SECTION THREEs This Ordinance shall be published for three
consecutiVe days in the San Bernardino Evening Telegra~, a daily
newspaper hereby designated for that purpuse, and shall take effec
i~mediately after its passage and approval,
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the whole number of inembers of the
Common Council of the City of San Bernardino is five, and that the
foregoing Ordinance was unanimeusly adopted at a~ 1c~~~~,~
