(1 t tJ h AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, AND TO PAY THE BONDED AND OTHER INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY. THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNAR- DINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION ONE: That the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino, as a revenue to carryon the various departments of said City for the current year begin- ning July 1st, 1964 and ending June 30th, 1965, and to pay the bonded indebtedness and other indebtedness of said City is hereby :t.) 5.!1M,q9q.!t~ the aggrega~e sum of $ 2,584,989.8} determined and fixed at apportioned among the various funds and departments of said City as follows, to-wit: h.~.H-; 31 (1) To the General Fund, the sum of $ 92;O}5.}1 (2) To the Street Fund, the sum of $ 9i9.,Br<f.a{.j, (3) To the Library Fund, the sum of $ ,37 ~.cf93: 07' (4) To the Park Improvement Fund, the ';1<1"~1 14- sum of $ Eil9,Oi7.t4 r""/I '1l-0 -~., (5 ) To the Employees' Retirement Fund, 1/?0o" I . ' the sum of $ 511;920.8} ~'~ . .;-"1 ""i (6) To the Library Bond Fund, the sum of $ }~, 59.i9 (7) To the Fire System Bonds, 1962 Interest and Redemption Fund, the .1'" !fl" ., ,;" J ....".... sum of $ 73,582.'$5 SECTION TWO: It is hereby found and declared that this is an Ordinance for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of said City and the inhabitants thereof, and that this is an emergency measure, it being an Ordinance provided by and adopted pursuant to Section 131 of the Charter of said City, and by an Act of the Legislature of the State of California Statutes 1913 and subsequent amendment, by the provisions of which Act this Ordinance must take affect before the first day 10 1.1 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 1 of September, 1964 in order to levy any valid tax for municipal 2 purposes, without which Ordinance and tax there will be insuf- 3 ficient revenues or funds on hand to defray the expense of said 4 City. 5 SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be published for 6 three consecutive days in the San Bernardino Evening Telegram, 7 a daily newspaper hereby designated for that purpose, and shall take effect immediately after its passage and approval. 8 9 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the whole number of members of the Common Council of the City of San Bernardino is five, and that , 1 the foregoing Ordinance was unanimously adopted at aJ!.~/.~~~L?~ ;:.t~~'<hereof, held on the c!!
