HomeMy WebLinkAbout2680 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 1 ORDINANCE NO./'&: Y'i/ 2 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF 3 SAN BERNARDINO AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE CURRENT YEAR. AND TO PAY THE 4 BONDED AND OTHER INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY. 5 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO 6 DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 7 SECTION ONE~ That the amount of money necessary to be 8 raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate 9 limits of the City of San Bernardino, as a revenue to carryon 10 the various departments of said City for the current year begin- 11 ning July 1st. 1965 and ending June 30th, 1966, and to pay the 12 bonded indebtedness and other indebtedness of said City is hereby 13 determined and fixed at the aggregate sum of $ 2 14 apportioned among the various funds and departments of said City 15 as follows, to-wtt~ 16 17 (1) To the General Fund. the sum of (2) To the Street Fund, the sum of (3) To the Library Fund, the sum of (4) To the Park Improvement Fund, the sum of $628 181.81 $ $ $ (5) To the Employees' Retirement Fund. the sum of (6) To the Library Bond Fund, the sum of (7) To the Fire System Bonds, 1962 Interest and Redemption Fund, the sum of $ SECTION TWO: It is hereby found and declared that this is 26 an Ordinance for the immediate preservation of the public peace, 27 health and safety of said City and the inhabitants thereof, and 28 that this is an emergency measure. it being an Ordinance prov~ded 29 by and adopted pursuant to Section 131 of the Charter of said 30 City, and by an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, .31 Statutes 1913 and subsequent amendment, by the provisions of 32 woich Act this Ordinance must take effect before the first day 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 \ 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 .31 32 1 of September, 1965 in order to levy any valid tax for municipal 2 purposes, without which Ordinance and tax there will be insuf- 3 ficient revenues or funds on hand to defray the expense of said 4 City. SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be published for three consecutive days in the San Bernardino Evening Telegram, a daily newspaper hereby designated for that purpose, and shall take effect immediately after its passage and approval.
