2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS
3 "ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 184", UPON THE TERMS CONTAINED IN THE QUESTION
SUBMITTED AT A SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID TERRITORY ON THE FIFTEENTH DAY
4 OF NOVEMBER, 1966.
5 WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of
6 the State of California known as the "Annexation Act of 1913", and pursuant to
7 Ordinance No. 2772, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of
8 San Bernardino on the 19th day of September, 1966, a special election was
9 held on the 15th day of November, 1966, in that certain inhabited territory
10 contiguous to the City of San Bernardino designated as "Annexation District
11 No. 184" and which is hereinafter more particularly described; and
12 WHEREAS, at said special election the following question was
13 submitted to the qualified electors residing in said territory:
14 SHALL ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 184 BE ANNEXED TO, INCORPORATED IN
15 AND MADE A PART OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AND THE PROPERTY IN SUCH
16 TERRITORY BE, AFTER SUCH ANNEXATION, SUBJECT TO TAXATION EQUALLY WITH THE
17 PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, TO PAY ITS PRO-RATA PORTION,
18 BASED UPON ASSESSED VALUATION OF ALL BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY OF
19 SAN BERNARDINO OUTSTANDING AT THE DATE OF THE FIRST PUBLICATION OF THE
20 NOTICE OF ELECTION FOR ANNEXATION?
21 WHEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the returns of the votes
22 cast at said special election that a majority of all votes cast in said
2.3 territory on the question of said annexation and the assumption of said
24 indebtedness favor annexation upon the terms contained in the question
25 submitted; and
26 WHEREAS, it appears that said special election and all proceedings
27 relating thereto have been conducted strictly in accordance with law.
28 NOW, THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
29 SAN BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION ONE: That the annexation of that certain inhabited
31 territory contiguous to the City of San Bernardino designated as "Annexation
32 D.istrict No. 184" be and the same is hereby approved upon the terms contained

1 in the aforesaid question which was submitted at the special election held on
2 the 15th day of November, 1966. Said territory is described as follows:

Those portions of Lots 9 and 10, Block 55 and Lots 6, 7, and
8, Block 46, Rancho San Bernardino as per plat thereof
recorded in Book 7 of Maps, Page 2; those portions of Tract
3057, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 42 of Maps, Pages
22 and 23; Tract 2221, as per plat thereof recorded in
Book 31 of Maps, Page 88; Tract 2980, as per plat thereof
recorded in Book 41 of Maps, Page 50; Tract 2194, as per
plat thereof recorded in Book 31 of Maps, Page 73; and Tract
2228, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 31 of Maps, Page
95, records of the County Recorder of San Bernardino'County,
State of California, described as follows:

Beginning at a point on the present corporate limits of the
City of San Bernardino, said point being the intersection
of the centerline of Waterman Avenue, 82.50 feet wide and
the Westerly prolongation of the South line of the North two
acres of the South one-half of said Lot 8, Block 46; thence
Easterly along said Westerly prolongation and said South
line of said North two acres and said City Limit line to
the West line of said Lot 9, Block 46; thence Southerly
along said West line of Lot 9 and said City Limit line to
the Southwest corner thereof; thence Easterly along the
South line of said Lot 9 and said City Limit line to the
Southeast corner of the West one-half of said Lot 9; thence
leaving said City Limit line and continuing Easterly along
the North line of Lots 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23 of said Tract
3057 and the North line of Lot 9 of said Tract 2221 and
the Easterly prolongation thereof to its intersection with
the centerline of Valley View Avenue, 50.00 feet wide;
thence Southerly along said centerline of Valley View
Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of Central
Avenue, 82.50 feet wide; thence Westerly along said
centerline of Central Avenue to its intersection with the
centerline of Valley View Avenue, 40.00 feet wide; thence
Southerly along said centerline of Valley View Avenue to
the North line of Lot 30 of said Tract 2228; thence
Westerly along the North line of Lots 30, 18 and 69 of said
Tract 2228 and the Westerly prolongation thereOf to its
intersection with the centerline of Foisy Street; thence
Southerly along said centerline of Foisy Street to its
intersection with the centerline of Norman Road, 60.00
feet wide; thence Westerly along said centerline of
Norman Road to its intersection with the centerline'of
Waterman Avenue, 82.50 feet wide; thence Northerly along
said centerline of Waterman Avenue to the point of beginning.
SECTION TWO: The property herein annexed is declared to be a part
27 of Ward I and the boundaries of Ward 1 are hereby altered to include said
28 annexed territory; and said property is placed and declared to be in C-M
29 Commercial-Manufacturing Zone.

SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
32 exclusive of holidays, in the San Bernardino Evening Telegram, a newspaper

of general circulation in the City of San Bernardino.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was duly adopted by
the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at an adjourned
