HomeMy WebLinkAbout3013 1 ORDII~ NO, o~ 0 ~,~ 2 AN ORDII~IANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT ~' MONEY I~SSAAY TO BE RAISID BY TAXATION UPON THE maxnRTF PPOPERTY WITHIN THE CITY ~' SAN BERNARDINO AS REVEN[TE 3 ~ CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPAIrII~k3Jl'S ~' SAID CITY OF SAN BE1~,RDIIQO FOIL THE CURRFa7'P YEAR, AND 10 PAY THE BONDID AND OTHER II~IDEBTEDNFSS OF SAID CITY. 4 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDII~IO DO ORDAIN 5' As FOLLUWS: 6~ SECTION ONE: 7Yie amount of money necessary to be .raised by taxation upon 71 the taxable property within the corporate limits of the City of San Bern~-trdino, 8 as revenue to carry on the various departments of said City for the current 91 year beginning July 1st, 1969 and ending June 30th, 1970, aryl to pay the bonded l0 irdebtedness and other indebtedness of said City is hereby determined and fixed 11 at the aggregate sum of $ 2,777,036. apportioned among the various funds and 12 departments of said City as follows, to wit: 13 (1) 7b the General F1md, the sum of $353,319. 14 (2) To the Street Fund, the sum of $926,183. 15 (3) To the Library Fluid, the scan of $301,556. 16 (4) 7.b the Park IttQrovement Fund, the $307,863. the sum of 17 (5) 'lU the Fhg~loyees' Retirement Fund 18 the sum of $779,869. 19 (6) 4b the Library Band Fund, the sum of $ 35,088. 20 (7) Zb the Fire System Borxi, 1962 Eaterest and Redemption F'iuxl, 21 the sum of $ 73,158. 22 SECTION ZWO: It is hereby found and declared that this is an Ordinance 23 for the imnedi.ate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of said 24 City aryl the inhabitants thereof, and that this is an emergency measure, it 25 being an Ordinance provided by and adopted pursuant to Section 131 of the 26 Charter of said City, and by an Act of the Legislature of the State of Californi 27 Statutes 1913 and subsequent amerxltrents and Goverranent Code Title 5, Division 28 1, Chapter 2, Article 2, by the px+ovisions of which Act this Ordinance must 29 take effect before the first day of September, 1969 in order to levy any valid 30 tax for municipal purposes, without which Ordinance and tax there will be 31 insufficient revenues or funds on hand to defray the expense of said City. 32 1 SECTION TI-II~E: This Ordinance shall take effect i~anediately after 2 its passage and approval, 3 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was duly adopted by the 4 N3syor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardi-no at 5 meeting thereof held on the ~ a ~ day of 6 by the following vote, to wit• 7 AYES : Councilmen 8 i ' 9 NOES: 10 ~ ABSENT: /L~ 11 12 City Clerc 13 14 The foregoing Or3inzmce is hereby approved this ~e~~--~-day of 15 ~_, 1969, 16 17 ~/ ~f!L~ -M~a~~r=-o-f-the City o~^aan Bernardino 18 19 20 Approved as to form: 21 22 ~, - /~// /~ City Attorney 23 24 25 26 27 28 30 31 ~ -~ 32
