2 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES FOR THE CURRENT YEAR UPON ALL
'j'AXARTF. PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A
3 REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIWS DEPAR7MENPS OF SAID CITY, AND TO PAY THE HODIDID

THE MAYOR AND C COUNCII, OF THE CITY ~' SAN BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS
5 F'OLILAVS:
6 SECTION ONE: That there is hereby levied for the present fiscal year,
7 beg;,,,,;,,g July 1st, 1969 and ending June 30th, 1970, on all property within
g the corporate limits of the City of San Bernaxdino~ a property tax of 1.1105
g upon each one hundred dollars using as a basis the value of such property as
10 assessed by the County Assessor of the Oovnty of San Bernardino, as the same
11 ~Y ~ equalized, and returned as herein provided, and the tax so levied and to
12 be collected is hereby appmpriat~l as follows:

14 Street Fund $,5445
15 Library Fund $.1773
16 Park Improvement Fund $.1810 ~
17 SECTION Ti+A: That there is also hereby levied for said fiscal year upon ~
lg all property within the corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino a
lg special tax of .4585 on each one hundred dollars, using as a basis the value of
20 such property as assessed by the County Assessor of the County of San Bernardino,
21 as the same may be equalized, and returned as herein provided, which tax levi~l
22 and to be collected, shall be applied to the payment of the obligations of the
23 City of San Bernardino to the Public Fhg~loyees' Retirement System.
24 SECTION THREE: That there is also hereby levied for said fiscal year
25 upon all property within the corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino,
2g a special tax of .0206 on each one hundred dollars, tnsing as a basis the value
27 of such property as assessed by the Oounty Assessor of the County of San
28 Bernardino, as the same be equalized, and returned as herein provided, which
2g tax so levied and to be collected, shall be applied to the payment of the
30 principal and interest on the Library Bonds due and to become dwe, or to accrue
31 during said fiscal year.
32 SECTION FOUR: That there is also hereby levied for said fiscal year upon

1 all property within the corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino, a
2 special tax of .0430 on each one hundred dollars, using as a basis the value
3 of such property as assessed by the County Assessor of the County of San
4 BP*-~+~*-~ino, as the same be equalized, and returned as herein provided, which
5 tax so levied, and to be collected, shall be applied to the payment of the
6 principal and interest on the Fire System Bands, 1962, Interest and RedarQtion
7 Fucrl, due and to becane due or to accrue during the said fiscal year.
81 SECTION FIVE: That taxes and special assessment tax hereby levied shall
9 be collected at the same time and iri the same manner as State and County taxes,
101 and when collected, shall be paid to the Treasurer of the City of San
11 Bernardino.
12 SECTI~7 SIX: The respective amounts hereinbefore designated as being
13 the amount of taxes levied on each one hundred dollars of the assessed valuation
14 of the property hereinbefore referred to are hereby fixed as the respective
15 rates of the tax for said fiscal year for the purposes hereinbefore designated,
16 which said rates are fixed and designated in the number of cents upon each one
17 hundred dollars, using as a basis the value of said property as assessed by the
18 County Assessor of the County of San Bernardino as the same may be equalized
19 and returned to said Con[ron Council by the County Auditor of said County, as
20 required by Section 3 of the Acts of the Legislature hereinafter referred to.
21 SEICTION SEVEN: The City Clerk is hereby directed to immediately transmit
22 to the County Auditor of the County of San Bernardino a certified copy of this
23 Ordinance.
24 SECTION EIC4iT: It is hereby found and determined and declared that this
25 Ordinance is urgently required for the inmediate preservation of the public
26 peace, health and safety, >n that this Ordinance is adopted pursuant to the
27 provisions of Section 131 of the Charter of said City, and an Act of the
28 Legislature of the State of California, Statutes 1913 and subsequent amendment,
29 by the provisions of which Act this Ordinance must take effect before the first
30 day of September, 1969, in order to levy any valid tax for municipal purposes,
31 without which Ordinance and tax there will be insufficient revenues or funds on
32 hand to defray the expenses of said City.

1 SEX'PION NINE: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
2 Ordinance by a two-thirds wte of the Commn Council, and cause the same to be
3 published in the San Bernardino Evening Telegram, a daily newspaper published
4 and circulated in the City of San Bernardino, for three consecutive days.
5 SECTION TEN: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force imrediatel
6 after its passage and approval.

8 Mayor and Caitmn Council of the City of San Bernaxdiry t a r.
