HomeMy WebLinkAbout3110 i 7- ORDINANCE N0. 3//D 2 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF 3 SAN BERNARDINO AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, AND TO PAY THE 4 BONDED AND OTHER INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY. 5 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CTTY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWSa 6 7 SECTION 1. The amount of money necessary to be raised by 8 taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits of 9 the City of San Bernardino, as revenue to carry on the various 10 departments of said City for the current year beginning July 1st, 11 1970, and ending June 30th, 1971, and to pay the bonded indebted- 12 ness and other indebtedness of said City is hereby determined and 13 fixed at the aggregate sum of $ 3,551,610 apportioned among the 14 various funds and departments of said City as followsy to wit; 15 (1) To the General Fund, the sum of $ 573,877 16 (2) To the Street Fund, the sum of $ 953,386 17 (3) To the Library Fund, the sum of $ 325,254 16 To the Park Improvement Fund, the Sum of $ 447,173 19 (5) To the Employees° Retirement Fund, the 20 sum of $1,176,415 21 (6) To the Library Bond Fund, the sum of $ 31,905 22 (7) To the Fire System Bond, 1962 Interest and Redemption Fund, the sum of $ 43,600 23 SECTION 20 It is hereby found and declared that this is 24 an Ordinance for the immediate preservation of the public peace, 25 health and safety of said City and the inhabitants thereof, and 26 that this is an emergency measure, it being an Ordinance provided 27 by and adopted pursuant to Section 131 of the Charter of said 28 City, and by an Act of the Legislature of the State of California 29 Statutes 1913 and subsequent amendments and Government Code 30 Title 5, Division 1, Chapter 2, Article 2, by the provisions of 31 which Act this Ordinance must take effect before the first day of 32 September, 1970 in order to levy any valid tax for municipal pur- 1 poses, without which Ordinance and tax there will be insufficient 2 revenues or funds on hand to defray the expense of said City. 3 SECTION 3.
