211 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FIXING THE
Iii, AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE
31; TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE
it VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, AND TO
4~, PAY THE BONDED AND OTHER INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY,
5i THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
6I' DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
7 SECTION 1, The amount of money necessary to be raised by
$ taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits of
9 the City of San Bernardino, as revenue to carry on the various
10 departments of said City for the current year beginning July 1st,
11 1971, and ending June 30th, 1972, and to pay the bonded indebted-
12 ness and other indebtedness of said City is hereby determindd and
13 fixed at the aggregate sum of $3,324,507 apportioned among the
14 various funds and departments of said City as follows, to wit:
15 (1) To the General Fund, the sum of 555,792
16 (2) To the Street Fund, the sum of 806,562
17 (3) To the Library Fund, the sum of 268,791
18 (4) To the Park T_t Fund, the
~ sum of 384,122
19 (5) To the Employees' Retirement Fund,
20 the sum of 1,209,463
21 (6) To the Library Bond Fund, the sum of 33,575
22 (7) To the Fire System Bond, 1962 Interest
and Redemption Fund, the sum of 66,202
23 SECTION 2, It is hereby found and declared that this is
24 an ordinance for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
25 health, safety and welfare of said City and the inhabitants
26 thereof, and that this is an emergency measure, it being an
27 ordinance adopted pursuant to Section 131 of the Charter of said
28 City, and by an Act of the Legislature of the State of California,
29 Statutes of 1913, and subsequent amendments, and Government Code
30 Title 5, Division 1, Part 2, Chapter 2, Article 2, by the pro-
31 visions of which Act this ordinance must take effect before the
32 first day of September, 1971 in order to levy any valid tax for

1 municipal purposes, without which ordinance and taxes there will
2~ be insufficient revenues or funds on hand to defray the expense
3 of said City.
4 SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately
5 after its passage and approval,
6 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was duly
7 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Ber-
