2~I ORDINANCE OF THE CITY. OF SAN
BE~NO AMENDING ORDINANCE.
NO. 1950 ENTITLED. IN PART "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE
3 REGISTRATION OF BICYCLES AND PROVIDING FOR THE
RECORDATION OF BICYCLE SALES BY BICYCLE DEALERS.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
5~i DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
6 SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 1950 .Section Four is hereby
7 amended to read as follows.:
8 "(a) Every person, firm or corporation engaged in the.
9 business of buying or selling new or second-hand bicycles shall
10 make a daily report to the Chief of Police specifying:
11 1. The name and address of the. person from whom each
12 second-hand bicycle was purchased;
13 2. The .serial number, make, type, model and license
14' number of each such second-hand bicycle;
15 3. A general description of each such second-hand
16 bicycle, including the. year and make thereof."
17 "(b) On the first Monday of each month, every person, firm
18 or corporation buying or selling new or second-hand bicycles shall
19 make monthly reports. to the Chief of Police specifying:
20 1. The. name and address of the. person to whom each ~
21 bicycle was transferred or sold;
22 2. The. serial number, make, type, model and license
23 number, if any, of each such bicycle;
24 3. A general description of each such bicycle, including
25 the year and make thereof.
26 If said Monday falls on a holiday,. the. monthly report shall
27 be submitted on the .following Tuesday."
28 SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 1950 .Section Seven is hereby
29 amended to read as follows:
30 "Section Seven: For each bicycle license issued for any
31 fiscal year pursuant to this ordinance, the sum of two dollars
32 ($2.00) shall be paid in advance. For each annual renewal of any
1 bicycle license, the sum of two dollars ($2.00) shall be paid in
2 advance. Pursuant to Section Five of this ordinance, such
3 license may be transferred when the ownership of said bicycle is
4 transferred, provided a fee. of two dollars ($2.00) shall be paid
5 for the registration of such transfer by the transferee or
6 purchaser."
7 SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 1950 .Section Eleven is hereby
8 amended to read as follows:
9 "Section Eleven: Any policeman, reserve policeman and law
10 enforcement trainee is hereby authorized and empowered to arrest
11 and issue notices to appear pursuant to the. provisions of this
12 ordinance and Section 836.5 and Chapter 5 C of Part 2 Title 3
i 13 (Sections 853.6 et seq.) of the Penal Code of the State. of
14 California."
15 SECTION 4. Ordinance No. 1950 Sections Twelve through
16 Seventeen inclusive are hereby repealed.
17 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was duly
18 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
19 Bernardino at a meeting thereof, held on the.
