CITY PARKING AND BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT BOARD.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
g DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
6 ~ SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 2711 Section Six is hereby
' 7 amended to read as follows:
8 "SECTION SIX. There is hereby created a Central City Par-
9 king and Business Improvement Area Advisory Board which shall
10 serve in an advisory capacity and shall consist of nine members
11 appointed by the Mayor, subject to the approval of the Common
12 Council. Of the initial nine (9) appointees, four shall be ap-
13 pointed for terms expiring on October 1, 1974 and five shall be
14 appointed for terms expiring on October 1, 1975. All subsequent
15 terms shall be for two years and appointments may be made to fill
16 a vacant office for the balance of any unexpired term. All mem-
17 bers of the Board shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and
18 Common Council. The members shall choose from their membership
19 a Chairman, Vice Chairman and a Treasurer. The City Administra-
20 for or his designated representative shall administer the Parking
21 and Business Improvement Area tax and shall serve as the execu-
22 tive officer of the Board.
23 A tentative budget shall be submitted annually at the same
24 time and be processed in the same manner as are the tentative
25 budgets submitted by regular departments of the City. The tenta-
26 tive budget .shall cover the projects, programs and activities
27 proposed. for the ensuing fiscal year with a concentration on the
2g problem of off-street parking. The majority of Area tax revenue
1 ~ shall be used for off-street parking purposes.

2 I, All requests for the. expenditure of Area funds shall be

3 ~ reviewed by the City Administrator to assure conformity with the
4 I annual budget approved by the Mayor and Common Council. All
g claims shall be processed by the Finance Department in the same
6 I manner as are the claims of other departments."

8 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Ber- I

9 nardino at a ~ meeting thereof, held on the
