2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING ORDINANCE j
NO. 2163 ENTITLED IN PART "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PAINTING
3 OF HOUSE NUMBERS ON CURBS AND EXEMPTING CERTAIN NON-PROFI
ORGANIZATIONS FROM THE FILING OF FAITHFUL PERFORMANCE BONDS UNDER
4 CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES.
S THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

7 ; SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 2163 Section One is hereby
g amended to read as follows:
9 "Section One: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm,
10 corporation, co-partnership or association, either as owner,
ii I agent or otherwise to paint or otherwise place house numbers on
I
12 curbs of streets in the City of San Bernardino without first:
13 (a) Obtaining a curb house number business license from
14 the City Clerk, and paying the fee therefor.
15 (b) Filing a faithful performance bond with the Street
16 Superintendent in the amount of $1,000.00.
17 (c) Obtaining from the property owner involved or occu-
18 pant thereof permission to do such painting.
19 A local non-profit organization shall be exempted from the
20 filing of a faithful performance bond upon the presentation of
21 satisfactory evidence to the Street Superintendent that it is
22 knowledgeable of the requirements for and capable of performing
23 the painting of house numbers on street curbs."
24 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was duly
25 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bern-
