2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FIXING THE AMOUNT
OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PRO-
3 PERTY WITHIN SAID CITY AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPART-
MENTS OF THE CITY FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, AND TO PAY THE BONDED AND
4 OTHER INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY.
5 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The amount of money necessary to be raised by

taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits of
the City of San Bernardino, as revenue to carryon the various
10
departments of said City for the current year beginning July 1st,
1974, and ending June 30th, 1975, and to pay the bonded indebted-
ness and other indebtedness of said City is hereby determined and
fixed at the aggregate sum of $3,915,341.00 apportioned among the
various funds and departments of said City as follows, to wit:

SECTION 2. It is hereby found and declared that this is
25 an ordinance for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
26 health, safety and welfare of said City and the inhabitants
27 thereof, and that this is an emergency measure, it being an
28 ordinance adopted pursuant to Section 131 of the Charter of said
1 City, and by an Act of the Legislature"of the State of California,
2 Statutes of 1913, and subsequent amendments, and Government Code
3 Title 5, Division 1, Part 2, Chapter 2, Article 2, by the pro-
4 visions of which Act this ordinance must take effect before the
5 first day of September, 1974 in order to levy any valid tax for
6 municipal purposes, without which ordinance and taxes there will
7 be insufficient revenues or funds on hand to defray the expense of
8
