ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FIXING THE AMOUNT
OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE
PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS
DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, AND TO PAY THE
BONDED AND OTHER INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The amount of money necessary to be raised
by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits
of the City of San Bernardino, as revenue to carryon the various
departments of said City for the current year beginning July 1,

1977 and ending June 30, 1978, and to pay the bonded indebtedness
and other indebtedness of said City is hereby determined and fixe
at the aggregate sum of 1(' 77Y ~;;>/O apportioned among the
various funds and departments of said City as follows, to wit:
l. To the General Fund, the sum of ?t?~~, /)7~
2. To the Library Fund, the sum of ~~~, IJ~ 9'

4. To the General Fund, Employees'
Retirement, the sum of

SECTION 2. It is hereby found and declared that this is
24 an ordinance for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
25 health, safety and welfare of said City and the inhabitants
26 thereof, and that this is an emergency measure, it being an
27 ordinance adopted pursuant to Section 131 of the Charter of said
28 City, and by an Act of the Legislature of the State of California

1 Statutes of 1913, and subsequent amendments, and Government
2 Code Title 5, Division 1, Part 2, Chapter 2, Article 2, by the
3 provisions of which Act this ordinance must take effect before
4 the first day of September, 1977 in order to levy any valid tax
5 for municipal purposes, without which ordinance and taxes there
6 will be insufficient revenues or funds on hand to defray the
7 expense of said City.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately
9 after its passage and approval.
