AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 103 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 821, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE REVISING AND
CODIFYING THE ORDINP~CES OF, AND PROVIDING
A CODE OF LAWS FOR, THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO",
PASSED AUGUST 8, 1921, AND APPROVED AUGUST
9, 1921, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1324,
PASSED JULY 26th, 1926, and APPROVED JULY 27th,
1926, AS AMENDED.
The Mayor andCommon Council of the City of San
Bernardino do ordain as follows:
SECTION ONE: That Section 103, of Ordinance No. 821,
entitled "An Ordinance revising and codifying the Ordinances
of, and providing a code of laws for, the City of San Bernardino",
passed August 8, 1921, and approved August 9, 1921, as amended
by Ordinance No. 1324, passed July 26th, 1926, and approved
July 27th, 1926, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"Section 103. Except as otherwise provided for by law,
the salaries of the various city officers are hereby fixed as
follows:
City Treasurer, $2400.00 per annum;
Chief of Police, $2700.00 per annum;
City Engineer, $3300.00 per annum;
Superintendent of Streets, 4P3000.00 per annum;
Building Inspector, $2400.00 per annum;
Health Officer, *1200.00 per annum;
Chief Engineer of Fire Degartment, ~2700.00 per annum;
City Electrician, $2100.00 per annum;
Food Inspector, who shall be Ex-Off::.cio Sanita.ry
Inspector, $1600.00 j)er annum;
Plumbing Inspector, $2100.00 per annum;
Assistant Plumbing Inspector, $1500.00 per annum;
Budget Officer, ;2700.00 per annum;
Deputy City Treasurer, $1800.00 per annum;

Secretary to Civil Service Board, $300.00 per annum;
Secretary for City Cemetery, $300.00 per annum."
SECTION TWO: That the Food Inspector shall be Ex-Offici
Sanitary Inspector, and in addition to the performance of the
duties imposed by law upon the Food Inspector of said City, shall
also perform theduties imposed ,upon the sanitary inspector of

said City.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall take effect and
ve in force on and after April 1st, 1931, and the salaries
herein provided shall be payable in equal monthly installments
upon the first day of each calendar month for the services
performed for the month immediately preceding.
SECTION FOUR: The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance, and shall cause the same to be
published for three consecutive days in the San Bernardino Daily
Sun, a daily newspaper hereby designated for that purpose.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was
duly adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of
San Bernardino, at a regular meeting thereof held on the
