ORDINANCE CALLING ELECTION
ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 22

of the City of San Bernardino.

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Ber-
nardino do ordain as follows:
SECTION ONE: That "Annexation District No. 22" shall
embrace all that certain real property and territory situate in
the County of San Bernardino, State of California, lying within
,
the following described exterior boundaries of saiQ9istrict,
to-wit:

That certain real property in the County
of San Bernardino, state of California, described
as follows:
A'portion of Lot 22 in Block 45 of the
Subdivision of the Rancho San Bernardino, as per
map recorded in Book 7 of Maps, Page 2, records
of said San Bernardino County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the center line of
Waterman Avenue, as now established, by the County
Surveyor of said San Bernardino County, along the
west line of said Lot 22, which point is in the
westerly prolongation of the south line of the tract
of land in said Lot 22, now or formerly owned by
Alan and Gertrude L. Mansur, as described in
Torrens Certificate No. 30571 filed in the office of the
Registrar of Titles of said ~an Bernardino County, said
south line, according to said Torrens Certificate, being
parallel with and 624.1 feet southerly from the north
line of said Lot 22; thence from said point of beginning
easterly, along said prolongation and along said south
line and its easterly prolongation, 485.5 feet to a point;
thence southerly, parallel with the center line of said
Waterman Avenue, 448.64 feet, to a line parallel with and
20.0 feet northerly from the center line of Cardiff
Avenue, as said last mentioned center line was established
by the County Surveyor of said San Bernardino County;
thence westerly, parallel with said established center line
of Cardiff Avenue, 485.50 feet to the center line of said
Waterman Avenue; thence northerly, along said center line
of Waterman Avenue, 448.54 feet to the point of beginning,
containing five acres of land, including portion in said
Waterman Avenue.

SECTION TWO: That a special election be held in said

territory embraced in said "Annexation District No. 22" frr

the purpose of submitting

1931, for
5 residing within said territory the following question and
6 proposition, to-wit:
7 Shall "Annexation District No. 22" be annexed to,
8 incorpor8ted in and made a part of, the City of San Bern8rdino,
9 and shall the property therein, after such annexation, be
10 subject to taxation equally with the property within said City
11 of San Bernardino to pay all of the bonded indebtedness of
12 said City incurred or authorized prior to the 4th day of March,
13 1931, for the acquisition, construction or completion of any
14 municipal improvement or improvements of said City, including
15 the following specified portions of such bonded indebtedness
16 outstanding on, or authorized prior to, the 4th day of March, 1931,
17 to-wit:
18 A bonded indebtedness of $200,000.00 incurred for the
19 construction and completion of a Convention Hall;
20 A bonded indebtedness of $68,000.00 incurred for the
21 acquisition and construction of water works, including the
22 "Antil Ranch" rights of way, pipe lines, wells and pumping plant;
23 A bonded indebtedness of $163,000.00 incurred for the
24 acquisition and construction of water works, including the
25 "Hubbard Water" and water rights, rights of way, pipe lines,
26 wells and pumping plant;
27 A bonded indebtedness of $275,000.00 incurred for the
28 acquisition and construction of water works, including pevil
29 Canyon Water Works, water rights, rights of way, pipe lines,
30 wells and pumping plant;
31 A bonded indebtedness of $60,000.00 incurred for the
32 acquisition and construction of real property, fire halls and

A bonded indebtedness of $650,000.00 incurred for the
acquisition of real property, and construction of a sewage
disposal plant, inverted siphon sewer lines and intercepting
sewers.
SECTION THREE: That for the purpose of said election,

all of the said territory hereinbefore described, and designatei
as "Annexation District No. 22", shall constitute one election
precinct designated "Annexation Precinct No.1", and that the
polling place of said "Annexation Precinct No.1" shall be at

and that the officers of such election for said "Annexation
Precinct No.1" shall be

SECTION FOUR: That the territory hereinbefore

20 presented to the Mayor and Common Council of the Ctty of San
21 Bernardino on the
4th day of March, 1931, shall be referred
22 to and designated in the notice of such election and upon the
23 ballots used at such election as "Annexation District No.22".

SECTION FIVE: That notice be given of such election
25 by the pUblication of a notice thereof in the Colton Daily
28 Courier, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published
27 in the City of Colton in said County, and outside of the said City
28 of San Bernardino, in the manner and for the time required by law.

SECTION SIX: That the City Clerk of the City of San
3Q Bernardino shall cause notice of such election to be published,
31 and ballots for such election to be printed, and perform the
32 duties reqUired of him by law for the holding of such election.

SECTION SEVEN1 That this ordinance shall be published
2 for three consecutive days, exclusive of holidays, in the San
3 Bernardino Daily Sun, a daily newspaper printed and published
4 in said City of San Bernardino.

SECTION EIGHT: That this ordinance shall take effect
6 and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
