The Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernar-
dino do ordain as follows:
SECTION ONE: That pursuant to a petition signed by not
less than one-fourth in number of the qualified electors resid-
ing therein, a special election was held on the 11th day of
June, 1931, within that certain territory embraced in "Annexa-
tion District No. 22", and hereinafter particularly described,
for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors resid-
ing within said territory the question and proposition whether
such territory should be annexed to, incorporated in and made a

A bonded indebtedness of ~200,000.OO incurred for the
construction and completion of a Convention Hall;
A bonded indebtedness of ~68,OOO.00 incurred for the
acquisition and construction of water works, including the
"Antil. Ranch" rights of way, pipe lines, wells and pumping
plant; .
A bonded indebtedness of ~163,000.00 incurred for the
acquisition and construction of water works, including the
"Hubbarq Water" and water rights, rights of way, pipe lines,.
wells and pumping plant;
A bonded indebtedness of ~275,000.OO incurred for the
acquisition and construction of water works, including Devil
Canyon Water Works, water rights, rights of way, pipe lines,
wells and pumping plant;
A bonded indebtedness of $60,000.00 incurred for the
acquisition and construction of real property, fire halls and
fire apparatus;
A bonded indebtedness of $650,000.00 incurred for the
acquisition of real property, and construction of a sewage dis-
posal plant, inverted siphon sewer lines and intercepting
sewers.
SECTION FOUR: That the territory so annexed to said
City, as aforesaid, and embraced in "Annexation District No.
22", as aforesaid, is described as all that certain real prop-
uerty and territory situate in the County of San Bernardino,

vision of the Rancho San Bernardino, as per map re-
4 corded in Book 7 of Maps, Page 2, records of said
San Bernardino County, described as follows:

Beginning at a point in the center line of
Waterman Avenue, as now established by the County
Surveyor of said San Bernardino County, along the
West line of said Lot 22, which point is in the
Westerly prolongation of the South line of the
tract of land in said Lot 22 now or formerly owned
by Alan and Gertrude L. Mansur, as described in
Torrens Certificate No. 3057, filed in the office
of the Registrar of Titles of said San Bernardino
County, said South line, according to said Torrens
Certificate, being parallel with and 624.1 feet
Southerly from the North line of said Lot 22;
thence from said point of beginning Easterly, along
said prolongation and along said South line and its
Easterly prolongation, 485.5 feet to a point;
thence Southerly, parallel with the center line of
said Waterman Avenue, 448.64 feet to a line parallel
with and 20.0 feet ~ortherly from the center line
of Cardiff Avenue, as said last mentioned center
line was established by the County Surveyor of said
San Bernardino County; thence Westerly, parallel
with said established center line of Cardiff Avenue,
485.50 feet to the center line of said Waterman
Avenue; thence Northerly, along said center line of
Waterman Avenue, 448.54 feet to the point of begin-
ning, containing five acres of land, including por-
tion in said Waterman Avenue.
Subject to the rights of the public for road
purposes, over that portion of the above described
property included within the lines of said Waterman
Avenue.
SECTION FIVE: That the territory hereinbefore described
and embraced in "Annexation District No. 22", as aforesaid,
shall henceforth constitute a part of, and be included ,in, the
F\\5-T- Ward of said City.
SECTION SIX: That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance, and to the record of the canvass of
the returns of said election, in the manner provided by law,
and cause this Ordinance to be published for three consecutive
days, exclusive of holidays, in the SAN BER~ARDINO DAILY SUN,
a daily newspaper printed and published in said City of San
Bernardino.

SECTION SEVEN: ThiiOrdinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage and approval.
I HEREBY CERTIVi that the foregoing Ordinance was duly
adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Ber-
nardino, at a regular meeting thereof held on the b~ day
of July, 1931, by the following vote, to-wit:

19 nardino, do hereby certify that the foregoing annexed instru-
20 ment, designated "Ordinance Approving Anne4Cation" in the Matter
21 of Annexation of District No. 22 of the City of San Bernardino,
22 is a full, true and correct copy of Ordinance NO.~, adopt-
23 ed by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino
24 at a regular meeting thereof held on the ~ day of July,
25 1931, and approved by the Mayor of said City on the;1~ day
26 of July, 1931.
