( of the City of San Bernardino. ) · - - - - - - - - - - - - - - l The Kayor and Common Council of the Oity of san Bernardino do o~dain as follow.: SECTION ONE: That "Annexation District No. 23" shall embrace all that certain real property and territory situate in the County of San Bernardino, State of Oalifornia, lying withia the following described exterior boundaries of B&iddistrict, to-wi~ Beginning at a point in the present corporate limits of the City of san Bernardino, said point being in the North line of Highland Avenue and being also the Southeast corner of Perris Hill Heights, Tract No. 1977, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 2g of Maps, at page 67, reoords of the County Recorder of san Bernardino County; thence Northerly along the East line of said perris Hill Heights, Traot No. 1977 and the Northerly prolongation of the East line of said Perri. Hill Heights, Tract No. 1977 to a point 50 feet North of the South line of the Arrowhead Junotion Tract, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 12 of Maps, at Page 11, records of the County Recorder of San Bernardino County; thence Westerly and parallel with the South line of said Arrowhead Junction Tract to a point 340 feet Eaat of the West line of Lot 2, Block 11, of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Northerly and parallel with the East line of Valencia Avenue to the Northerly line of Lot 2, Blook 14, of said Arrowhead Junotion Traot; thence Northwesterly along the Northerly line of Lot 2, Blook 14, of said Arrowhead Junction Tract and the Northwesterly prolongation of the Northerly line of Lot 2, Block 14, of said Arrowhe_d Junction Tract, to the center lin~ of Pomona Street, as shown upon said plat of said Arrowhead Junction Tract. thence N th I , or er y along the center line of said " .,... , Pomona street to the oenter line of Olive street, as shown upon said plat of said Arrowhead Junotion Trapt; thenoe Easterly along the oenter line of said Olive street to a point 570 feet East of the East line of said Pomona street; thence Northerly and parallel with the East line of said Pomona street to the Oenter line of Twenty-seventh street, as shown on said plat of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Easterly along the center line of said Twenty-seventh street to the West line of Harrison street, as shown on said plat of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Northerly along the West line of said Harrison street to the Southeast corner of Lot 10, Blook ~, of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Westerly along the South line of Block ~ of said Arrowhead Junotion Tract, being along the present corporate limits of the Oity of San Bernardino, to a point ~94.1~ feet East of the South- west oorner of Lot S, Block ~, of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Southerly and parallel with the East line of Valencia Avenue to the South line of North street, as shown on said plat of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Westerly along the South line of said North Street to a point 200 feet West of the West line of laid Pomona street; thence southerly and parallel with the West line of said Pomona street to the Northerly line of Lot 1, Block 30, of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Northwesterly along the Northerly line of Lot 1, Block 30, of said Arrowhead JUnction Tract to the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Blook 30 of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Southerly and parallel with the West line of said Pomona Street to the center line cf South Street, as shown on said plat of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Wes!erly along the center line of said South Street to a point 5~ feet East of the East line of Valencia Avenue; thenoe Southerly ail.d parallel with the East line of Valencia Avenue to the South line of said Arrowhead Junotion Tract, said South line of said Arrowhead Junction Tract being also the North line of Ranoho San Ber- nardino, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 7 of Maps, at Page 2, records of the Oounty Recorder of san Bernardino Oounty; thence <- Easterly along the North line of said Rancho San Bernardino to the <, Northwest corner of said perris Hill Heights, Tract No. 1977; thenee Southerly along the West line of said Perris Hill Height., Traot No. 1977 to the North line of Highland Avenue; thence Easterly along the North line of Highland Avenue, being along the present corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino, to the point of beginning. SEOTlOD TWO. That a sp.cial election be held in said territory embraced in said HAnnexation District No. 23', on Friday, the 3rd day of June, 1932, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors resi4ing within said territory the following question and proposition, to-wi t; Shall .Annexation District No. 23'be annexed to, incorporated in, and made a part of I the City of san Bernardino, and shall the property therein, after such annexation, be subject to ta$a.tion equally with the property within said City of San Bernardino to pay all of the bonded indebtedness of said Oity incurred or authorized prior to the 4th day of March, 1932, for the acquisition, construction or completion of any muntmipal improvement or improvements of said City, including the following specified pcrticns of such bcnded indebtedness outstand- ing on, or authcrized prtor to the 4th day of March, 1932, tc-wit: A bonded indebtedness of $200.000.00 incurred for the construction and completion of a Convention Hall; A bonded indebtedness of $6g,000.00 incurred for the acquisition and construction of water works, including the 'Antil Ranoh" rights of way, pipe lines, wells and pUlllping plant; A bonded indebtedness of $163,000.00 incurred for the acquisition and construction of water works, including the "Hubbard Water' and water rights, rights of way, pipe lines, wells and pUlllping plant; A bonded indebtedness of $275,000.00 incurred for the acquisition and construction of water works, including Devil Canyon Water Works, water rights, rights of way, pipe lines,wells and pUlllpi~ plant; A bonded indebtedness of $60,000.00 incurred for the " .) acquisition and ccnstruction of real property, fire halls and fire apparatus; A bonded indebtedness of $650,000.00 incurred for the acquisition of real property, and construction of a sewage dispcsal plant, inverted siphon sewer lines and intercepting sewers. SJ:Cl'IOJI' TBRElC; Tbat for the purpose of said electicn,all of the said territory hereinbefore desc~ibed, and designated as IAnnexation Distriot No. 231. shall constituie one, election precinct designated IAnnexation Precinot No.1", and that the polling plaoe of said "Annexation precinot No. 10 shall be at the Residenoe of John F. Justice, on the North Side of Highland Avenue between Valenoia Avenue and Lawrence Avenue, and that the offioers of suoh eleotion for said "Annexation Preoinct No. 11 shall be two judges and one inspeotor. to-wit; Inspeotor: John F. Justioe Judge: Mrs. Euphrenia Algers Judge: Charity E. Bishop SECTION FOUR: That the territory hereinbefore refe~ed to and desoribed , and referred to and desoribed in that certain petition requesting the annexation thereof filed with and presented to the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino on the gth day cf september, 1931, shall be referred to and designated in the notioe of such election and upon the ballots used at suoh eleotion as oAnnexation Distriot No. 23". SECTION FIVE: Tbat notioe be given of suoh eleotion by the publication of a notice thereof in the COLTON DAILY COURIER. a news- paper of general oiroulation printed and published in the City of Colton, in said County. and outside of the said City of San Bernar- dino, in the manner and for the time required by law. SEOTION SIX: Tbat the City Clerk of the City of San Bernar- dino shall oause notioe of such eleotion to be published, and ballots for s~h election to be printed, and perform the duties required of him by law for the holding of such eleotion. <, SEOTION SEVEN: That this Ordinanoeshall be publishell for three oonseoutive days, exolusive of holidays, in the SAN BERNARDINO DAILY Stm, a daily newspapar printed and published in said Oity of San Bernardino. SEOTION EIGHT: That this Ordinanoe shall take effeot and be in foroe from and after its passage and approval. I HEREBY OERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinanoe was duly adopted by the Kayor and Oommon Oounoil of the Oi ty of San Bernardino, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 29th day of April, 1932, by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: seooombe, Martin, smith, Oline, Wainwright.
