ORDINANCE NO. /4{3. ) C ))C of the City of San Bernardino. In the Matter of ANNEXJ.TION DISTRICT NO. 23, ORDINANCE A?PRJVING ANNEXATION. The Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernar- dino do ordain as follows: SECTION ONE: That pursuant to a petition signed by not less than one-fourth in number of the qualified electors resid- ing therein, a special election was held on the ~ day of ~/~~__, 1932, within that certain territory embraced in / . "Annexation Distrl.ct No. 23", and hereinafter particularly de- scribed, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors residing within said territory the question and prop08ition whether such territory should be annexed to, incorporated in and made a part of, the City of San Ber!lardino, and the property therein, after such annexation, be subject to taxation equally with the property within said City, to pay the bonded indebted- ness of said City incurred or authorized prior to the ~ day of ~~~ , 1932, for the acquisition, construction or completion of the municipal improvements of said City particu- larly set forth in the notice of said election, at which elec- tion a majority of all of the votes cast within said territory were in favor of 8uch annexation. SECTION TWO: That the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino do hereby approve such annexation. J .. ~ z 0 Il..a:: 0 13 00 Z WI- 0 ~1- It: 14 ~ c( ~ 0.. . ... ~ 15 u Z ~ . 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 incorporated in, 'and made a part.of, the City of San Bernardino, and the property within said "Annexation District No. 23" shall henceforth be subject to taxation equally with the property within said City of San Bernardino to pay all the bonded in- debtedness of said City incurred or authorized prior to the ~ day of ~~~ , 1932, for the acquisition, construction or completion of any municipal improvement or improvements of said City, including the following specified portions of such bonded indebtedness outstanding on, or authorized prior to, the ~ day of ~, ...."'../. , 1932, to-wit: A bonded indebtedness of $200,000.00 incurred for the construction and completion of a Convention Hall; A bonded indebtedness of $68,000.00 incurred for the ac- quisition and construction of water works, including "Antil Ranch" rights of way, pipe lines, wells and pumping plant; A bonded indebtedness of $163,000.00 incurred for the ac- quisition and construction of water works, including the "Hubbard Water" and water rights, rights of way, pipe lines, wells and pumping plant; A bonded indebtedness of $275,000.00 incurred for the ac- quisition and construction of water works, including Devil Can- yon Water Works, water rights, rights of way, pipe lines, wells and pumping plant; A bonded indebtedness of $60,000.00 incurred for the ac- quisition and construction of real property, fire halls and fire apparatus; A bonded indebtedness of $650,000.00 incurred for the ac- quisition of real property, and construction of a sewage dis- -2- ,. SECTION FOUR: That the territory so annexed to said City, as aforesaid, and embraced in "Annexation District No. 23" as aforesaid, is described as all that certain real property and territory situate in the County Of San Bernardino, State of Cal- ifornia, lying within a district, the exterior boundaries of which are described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point in the present corporate lim- its of the City of San Bernardino, said point being in the North line of Highland Avenue and being also the Southeast corner of Perris Hill Heights, Tract No. 1977, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 28 of Map~, at page 67, records of the County Recorder of San Ber- nardino County; thence Northerly along the East line of said Perris Hill Heights, Tract No. 1977 and the Northerly prolongation of the East line of said Perris Hill Heights, Tract No. 1977 to a point 50 feet North of .the South line of the Arrowhead Junction Tract, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 12 of Maps, at page 11, records of the County Recorder of San Bernardino County; thence Westerly and parallel with the South line of said Arrowhead Junction Tract to a point 340 feet East of the West line of Lot 2, Block 11, of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; th€nce Northerly and para- llel with the East line of Valencia Avenue to the North- erly line of Lot 2, Block 14, of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Northwesterly along the Northerly line of Lot 2, Block 14, of said Arrowhead Junction Tract and the Northwesterly prolongation of the Northerly line of Lot 2, Block 14, of said Arrowhead Junction Tract, to the center line of Pomona Street, as shown upon said plat of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Northerly along the center line of said Pomona Street to the cen- terline of Olive Street, as shown upon said plat of s~id Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Easterly along the center line of said Olive Street to a point 570 feet East of the East line of said Pomona Street; thence North- erly and parallel with the East line of said Pomona Street to the center line of Twenty-seventh Street, as shown on said plat of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence East- erly along the center line of said Twenty-seventh Street to the West line of Harrison Street, as shown on said plat of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Northerly along the West line of said Harrison Street to the South- east corner of Lot 10, Block 4, of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Westerly along the South line of Block 4 of said Arrowhead Junction Tract, being along the present -3- .. "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 ..: 12 >- J '" < z U Ll.o:: 0 13 00 Z WI- a ~1- a: 14 :::01( ~ 0>- ffi I- m 15 U Z < ~ 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino, to a point 494.14 feet East .of the Southwest corner of Lot 8, Block 4, of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Southerly and parallel with the East line of Valencia Avenue to the South line of North Street, as shown on said plat of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Westerly along the South line of said North Street to a point 200 feet West of the West line of said Pomona Street; thence Southerly and parallel with the West line of said Pomona Street to the Northerly line of Lot 1, Block 30, of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Northwesterly along the Northerly line of Lot 1, Block 30, of said Arrowhead Junction Tract to the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 30,' of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Southerly and parallel with the West line of said Pomona Street to the center line of South Street, as. shown on said plat of said Arrowhead Junction Tract; thence Westerly along the center line of said South Street to a point 540 feet East of the East line of Valencia Avenue; thence Southerly and parallel with the East line of Valencia Avenue to the South line of said Arrowhead Junction Tract, said South line of said Arrowhead Junction Tract being also the North line of Rancho San Bernardino, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 7 of Maps, at page 2, records of the County Recorder of San Bernardino County; thence Easterly along the North line of said Rancho San Ber- nardino to the Northwest corner of said Perris Hill Heights, Tract No. 1977; thence Southerly along the West line of .saidPerr,is Hill Heights, Tract No. 1977, to the North line of Highland Avenue; thence Easterly along the North line of Highland Avenue, being along the present corporate limits of the City of San Ber- nardino, to the point of beginning. SECTION FIVE: That the territory hereinbefore described and embraced in ttAnnexation District No. 23", as aforesaid, shall henceforth constitute a part of, and be included in, the routrTH Ward of said City. SECTION SIX: That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance, and to the record of the canvass of the returns of said election, in the manner provided by law, and shall cause this Ordinance to be published for three consecutive days, exclusive of holidays, in the SAN BERNARDINO DAILY SUN, a daily newspaper printed and published in said City of San Bernar- -4- .. SECTION SEVEN: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
