All' ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO GRANTING TO THE
PAC InC ELECTRIC RAILWAY COMPANY, A CORPORATION, A FRANCHISE TO

as follows:
SECTION 01lE: That the Pacific Electric Railway Company. a
corporation, be and it is hereby granted a franchise to construct.

at said point of beginning, concave to the south and having a
radius of 150 feet, a distance of 21.38 feet to the end of said
curve; thence southwesterly, tangent to said curve at the end
thereof, 28.28 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave
to the southeast and having a radius of 286.84 feet; thence South-
westerly along last mentioned curve, 83.86 feet to the end of said
curve; thence southwesterly, tangent to said curve at the end there-
of, 6.46 feet to a point in the south line of Third St~~~~~nt.

SECTION TWO: Said franchise is hereby granted to said Pacific Elec-
tric Railway Company, its successors and assigns, for a periOd of fifty
(50) years from and after date thereof.
SECTION THREE: Said Pa.oific Electric Railway Company shall, when-
ever required by the City Council of the City of San Bernardino, pave or
macadamize said road between the rails and for two feet on each side
thereof, under such plans and specifications as may be adopted by the
City Council of the City of San Bernardino, and shall make the road bed
confor.m at all times to the established grade of said street. and to
keep such portions of said street occupied by said tracks and for two
feet on each side thereof and between the tracks. if there be more than
one track, in repair under the instructions and to the satisfaction of
the City of San Bernardino; in the event said grantee or its successors
or assigns shall fail to pave or macadamize said road, or to keep the
same in repair or on grade, as herein provided for. after notice for ten
days, the City of San Bernardino may enter upon the road of said grantee
and do the work and keep an itemized account of the cost thereof which
said grantee, by the acceptance of this franchise. agrees to pay immed-
iately upon presentation to said grantee of said account.
The said grantee, its successors or assigns, shall construct all nec-
essary flumes and culverts for the free passage of water under the tracks
of said railway where and whenever necessary. Such flumes and culverts
shall be constructed in accordance with plans and specifications adopted
by the City Council of the City of San Bernardino.
The said City of San Bernardino. in making the grant of this fran-
chise, expressly reserves the right for itself and the gfantee of any
other franchise from said City, to construct along said Street and be-
neath said track, water mains. gas mains. sewers and conduits.
SECTION FOUR: That said grantee, its successors or assigns, are
hereby required to file a written acceptance of the terms and conditions
of this Ordinance with the City Clerk within thirty days after the pas-
sage of this Ordinance.
SECTIbN FIVE: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after thirty days after its passage and approval.
SECTION SIX: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and cause the same to be published for three consecutive days
in the San Bernardino Daily Sun, a daily newspaper printed, published and
circulated in the City of San Bernardino, and hereby designated for that
purpose.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was/ladopted by the^~

THE MAYOR AND COlIMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BDNARDIHO:
GENTLEMEN :
The undersigned, Pacific Electrio Railway Company,
hereby accepts the terms and conditions of that certain
Ordinance No. 1310 of the City of San Bernardino, passed by
the Hayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino
on the 7th day of June, 1926, and agrees to abide by all the
terms and oonditions thereof.
