An ORDIlTANCE FIXHm THE llliCESSARY AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE
RAISED BY TAXATION ON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO,
AS A REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVER1~-
MENT "OF THE CITY OF SAn BERHARDIlW FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, AND TO PAY THE
PRINCIPAL AnD INTEREST DUB _~,D COMING DL~ UPON THE BONDED INDEBTED~TESS OF
SAID GITY.
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino do
ordain as follows:
SECTION Olm: That the amount o~ money necessary to be rai8~d
by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limdts of "he
City of San Bernardino as a revenue to carryon the various departments
of such municipal corporation for the cu~rent fiscal year not to exceed
the limit fixed by law, and to pay the bonded indebtedness or other in-
debtedness of such municipal corporation or City, is hereby de"ermined
and fixed as follows, to-wit:
(1) The amount of money necessary to be raised for "he general

SECTION ~VO: It is hereby found and declared that this is an
Ordinance for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and
safety, and that this is an emergency measure, it being an Ordinancff pro-
vided by and ,adopted pursuant to Section 130 of the City Charter and by:
an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, approved March 27,
1893, and referred to in said Section by its title, by the provisions of
which Act this Ordinance must take effect befcre the third Monday in Au-
gust, 1926, in order to levy any valid tax for municipal purposes, ana
without vhich Ordinance and tax there will be insufficient revenues or
funds on hand to defray the expenses of the health department or any other
aepartment of the City.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be published for three con-
secutive days in the Evening Telegram, a daily newspaper hereby designated
for that purpose, and shall take effect and be in force imnlediately there-
after, and the City Clerk shall certify to the passage by a two-thiras vote
of the Common Council.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the whole number of members of the Common
Council of the City of San Bernardino is five, and that the foregoing
Ordinance was adopted by said Council at its meeting held on the 26th day
of July, 1926, by the following vote, to-wit:
Ayes Hanford, Rogers, Rouse, Combs..
