THE MAYOR AI-i'D COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNAR- DINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That an amendment to the Contract providing for the participation of the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO in the State Employees' Retirement System, is hereby authorized between the MAYOR AND C01,nvlON COUNCIL of the CITY {F SAN BERNARDINO and the Board of Administration, California State Employe..' Retirement System, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and by such reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. SECTION 2. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to execute said amend- ment for and on behalf of said Agency. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days after the date of its adoption, and prior to the expiration of ten days from the passage thereof shall be published at least three times in the San Bernardino Evening Telegram, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of San Bernardino, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. Prior service benefits to miscellaneous members E1ployed by Public AGency, that is, members other than Local Firemen, Local Policemen, or County Peace Officers, upon retirement for service, shall be allowed only as a percentat;"p. of the average salary specified in Section 21253 of said ItetireiJent Law, for each year of such service, and said percentage shall be 100 per cent of the percentage determined under said Section for the ~ge at retirement. 6.
