Hello,
This very young male Shepherd who came stray to the SBCITY shelter on February 8.
Reading on the kennel card that the puppy has "Breathing issues and might need surgery" , raised further
concerns.
When I started inquiring on Feb 9 and repeatedly ask for a response, I then receive a response that "currently the
shelter is not able to offer resources" - see below.
This is not only is acceptable because you have the financial resources but also it appears that once there is a
problem , it is pushed to rescue groups .
I request full disclosure and more intake information but most of all I request that this young puppy is examined
thoroughly - see highlighted (in red). If your shelter can offer Spay and neuter, then your shelter IS ABLE to do
these lifesaving tests.

Good morning,
Thank you for contacting us about A576108. We are currently unable to offer further medical diagnosis due to
limited resources and the absence of an on-site veterinarian. We would be grateful if a rescue organization
could provide the needed care. If your rescue is interested, please let us know, and we will note your
commitment.

Hello,
since intake, has this puppy ever received a PCR test to see if this young dog is POSITIVE
for either of below
Canine Parainfluenza virus
Canine respiratory coronavirus
Canine Influenza H5N1
Mycoplasma
Pan-influenza
Strep.zooepidemicus
And is Parvo Virus free
Your shelter has the financial means for that. Instead of asking a rescue to take on the
financial burden
This is outrageous, and irresponsible towards this innocent puppy while pretending that
you " strive towards a brighter future for the animals in our region."
