Moratorium - Protect Our Community!
Dear Council-member 's
I urge you to OPPOSE the last-minute moratorium on Safe and Sane fireworks in San
Bernardino. This rushed decision:
• HURTS LOCAL CHARITIES that depend on fireworks sales for funding.
• COSTS THE CITY & POLICE revenue from pre-paid permits.
• BREAKS TRUST with residents by ignoring community traditions without fair notice.
Families have celebrated responsibly for decades don't punish them for the actions of a few.
Please vote NO on the ban and find better solutions!
Also this is my favorite holiday of the year when I was a kid I get to stay up late and show the
fireworks outside on the lawn and my grandparents would do them in the middle of the street
with a water bucket on the sidewalk to put it in when they was done some family don’t have
money to get a Uber or Lyft to a fireworks show and pay for there family to get in to watch the
show if you take these from the community then it’s no point for business to keep this city
going if they going to ban thing that we use to do for years and now you want to stop
something that kids are looking forward to in the summer so you telling me we going to have
to stand around a television and watch the show and not able to see it in real life
