jobs, as well as providing socio-economic
boosts to local students and their families.

in the Inland Empire, Cal State’s annual

Thank you to everyone who cooked,
prepped, and served Thanksgiving
meals for almost 300 dogs at the Animal
Shelter last Wednesday.
The annual event not only serves a
special meal for the shelter animals, it
brings awareness to the amazing pets
available for adoption.
One special guest at the event was a
live turkey, who was being housed at
the shelter. In honor of Thanksgiving,
the turkey was granted a pardon by
Mayor Tran and Councilmember Flores.
Celebrate the holiday season tomorrow at 5:00 pm at the
annual lighting of the Christmas Tree at City Hall.
The event will kickoff a festive December, with the annual
Downtown Miracle on Court Street running from December
10 – 22, the Ho-Ho Parade
December 8th-11th, and the YMCA
Children’s Christmas Parade on
Saturday, December 13.
Yesterday marked the tenth anniversary of the
terrorist attack at the Inland Regional Center that
killed 14 and seriously injured 22 County employees.
It showed that horrific violence could happen
anywhere at anytime.
The slogan “San Bernardino Strong” was adopted to
demonstrate that together as a community, we are
stronger than the destructive intentions of the
terrorists. It became a rallying cry. A unifying slogan.
And helped to bring San Bernardino together in a
time of crisis.
While the healing continues even to this day, we will
always remember December 2, 2015.
