Being a resident and constituent of the 4th ward I am strongly against ANY changes to how
our Mayor is elected. This will lead to insulation from accountability and shield the mayor
from the consequences of their actions. Maybe Eric needs to think a bit more... before
throwing out these half-baked ideas. Hey! Fullerton is just a drive away maybe you should go
back there... Just because there is a power vacuum from Helen's departure does not mean we
take power away from the people. Helen I hope you are listening too. The SB Sun puff piece
says all you need to know about the cities leadership because it is absolutely a distortion of the
truth. What about the trap house drug den in Downtown San Bernardino? That is certainly not
a vacant building. Police patrol that area all the time and do nothing. What about transparency
and accountability when there are multiple shootings here in our neighborhood in the 4th
Ward? The SBPD would rather sweep the violence under the rug and pad your statistics and
line your pockets. That is corruption. You will ALL be removed from office and are hereby
put on notice.
