To whom this may concern,
I strongly oppose any blanket restrictions or bans on short-term rentals in San Bernardino.
As a responsible property owner, I rely on short-term rental income to maintain my property,
pay taxes, and contribute to the local economy. These proposed restrictions will not only harm
homeowners but also reduce tourism revenue and negatively impact local businesses.
Short-term rentals:
Support local jobs and small businesses
Increase city tax revenue
Provide safe, regulated accommodations for visitors
Punishing responsible owners due to isolated complaints is not sound policy.
I urge the Council to:
Allow short-term rentals with reasonable regulations
Focus enforcement on bad actors, not responsible hosts
Protect property rights and economic opportunity
Do not pass policies that effectively eliminate short-term rentals.
