I'm here to speak in opposition toResolution 2026-035. I have watched this council for years. Fred Shorett-- has been herelonger than anyone and the city has gotten worse on his watch — that's not an opinion,that's the record. Mayor Tran, you read that staff report tonight like it was gospel. I want toknow: did you actually read it? Because that report was written by Larson LLP — the samelaw firm being paid to fight Treasure Ortiz in federal court right now. That's not a censureinvestigation. That's a lawyer writing charges against his own client's opponent. Here's myquestion that nobody on this dais has answered: where is the internal investigation report?The city claims there was an investigation. Post it. Put it online like you do everything aboutDr. Ortiz. Let the public read it. If it exists, post it. If you won't post it, then we have a rightto ask why. Treasurer Ortiz offered to settle. You refused. You chose this fight. Now afederal judge is going to decide who had the proof. Chief Goodman already told her on therecord that the DOJ confirmed the database was accessed illegally with no justifiable reason— and then he changed his story. That's in the federal complaint. Case number 2:25-cv-10650. Look it up. You are censuring the one council member who has been willing to callout what is happening in this city. Ward 1, Ward 2, Ward 3 — your seats are up. Theresidents are watching. Do your job or get ready for a new one. Post the investigation.That's all!!!
