Proposed Water and Sewer Rate Adjustments
The Municipal Water Department will be holding a
community meeting to discuss proposed water and sewer
rate changes at 6:00 pm tomorrow night at Palm Elementary
School, located at 6565 Palm Avenue.
If approved by the City of San Bernardino Water Board, the
proposed increases would take effect on July 1, 2026, with
subsequent annual increases through 2030. The average
customer would see a monthly increase on their July bill of
approximately $7.00.
The SBMWD Board will be making the decision on the rate
adjustment at a hearing on Tuesday, May 26, to be held at
Feldheym Library at 9:30 am. The public is welcome to
attend.
City Cleanups
City crews in partnership with Burrtec
regularly address illegal dumping of trash,
and bulky items throughout the City.
In the first three months of this year alone,
crews picked up 788,000 thousand pounds
of trash and debris – nearly 400 tons.
San Bernardino residents are doing their
part. In 2025, residents dropped off a total
of 727 tons at the City’s monthly
community bulky item drop off events.
Residents can schedule up to two free
Burrtec bulky item pickups at their home
every year by calling (909) 804-4222.
